This conference is especially dedicated to ski centers in Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania, Armenia and Georgia. The wide range of participants and speakers enables the exchange of experiences and best practices from different parts of the world, creating a unique opportunity for networking and learning.

A variety of topics and distinguished speakers

The conference offers a rich program with diverse topics that concentrate on digitalization, data and process management, data protection, but nature and economy in the context of mountain centers. We have also included practice and will deal with everyday topics that ski centers encounter, namely ski schools and hoteliers, their influence and importance, as well as a very inspiring idea of networking all ski centers, which is called SkiYU. Prominent experts in these fields share their deep knowledge and experience through inspiring lectures, discussions and panels.

We proudly announce that the Ministry of Trade and Tourism will support this conference. Minister Denis Šulić will open the conference on the first day, which further emphasizes the importance and impact of the event.

The first day of the conference is dedicated to the essence of digitization. These topics are not only of interest to owners and managers of mountain centers, but also to students, business people and entrepreneurs. Lectures and discussions on the first day will explore how digital transformation is shaping different industries and how it can be applied in mountain centres.

The first lecture of the day brings inspiration from the creator – Slavimir Stojanović Futro will explore the steps that a person needs to take in order to achieve great changes in the digital era.

Dr. Slaven Šteković brings deep insight into the application of artificial intelligence in aging prevention processes, sharing his knowledge as a member of the Forbes list of the 30 most successful.

The Future of Technology in Corporate Business panel brings together experts from the corporate sector to discuss the future of technology and its role in business. Participants include Natasha Holloway, long-time vice president of the global bank (UK), Srđan Šuput, director of the Banking Agency of the RS and Radoje Žugić, governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro. The panel will be moderated by Aleksandar Hršum.

The panel Data and how to use them is made up of several individual lectures and brings an in-depth consideration of data management and its role in mountain centers. Speakers include Ognjen Borovčanin, Pavle Lazaravić, Semir Musić and Milan Kojić, who will explore dynamic price management for the needs of ski resorts, digitization and data security.

The Minister of Trade and Tourism, Denis Šulić, is moderating this panel that explores how mountain centers are created and developed, with a special focus on the role of ski schools and hoteliers. Along with him, the discussion will be led by nine outstanding speakers: Prof. Dr. Robert Ropret, representatives of ski schools from Serbia and Republic of Srpska.

The second day of the conference is particularly focused on ski resorts and environmental protection. Speakers from this field will explore current trends and practices shaping the ski industry in the region. This is a valuable opportunity for those who want to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities in this industry.

An exciting morning lecture is delivered by Paolo Bagozzi from TechnoAlpin, who will discuss “The Perfect Slope” – how technology is used to create ideal ski slopes and experiences for visitors to mountain resorts.

Laurent Vanat, the man who is proven to have the largest amount of data on ski centers in the world, will share his deep insight into current trends in the ski market and how investment in environmental protection plays a key role in the development of mountain centers.

Emanuel Tutek will explore the future of mountain centers, looking at innovative approaches and factors that will shape their development in the years to come.

Mlađan Dinkić will share his experience and knowledge on the development of mountain tourism, exploring strategies and approaches that will shape the future of this sector.

Nikola Krunić will focus on climate change and the role of environmental protection in the context of ski resorts, providing insight into sustainable practices and innovations.

Jelena Vuković from the municipality of Kotor will share concrete examples and case studies on environmental protection in practice, emphasizing the importance of preserving natural resources in tourism.

The “SkiYu” panel brings together Robert Čoban, Dejan Ljevnaić and Nikola Avram to discuss unification, cooperation, and strengthening the positive spirit among everyone whose common call is tourism.
